My name is Ian Cohen, and I’m a Public Relations major at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications with a Marketing minor in the Whitman School of Management. I’m passionate about how strategic communication and business intersect, and I’m always looking for hands-on ways to build my skills beyond the classroom. I grew up in Westchester, New York, where I learned the value of community, and one of my proudest accomplishments is co-founding Santa for Seniors, a nonprofit that delivers more than 1,000 gifts each year to local nursing home residents. Leading this initiative has given me experience in fundraising, team coordination, community outreach, and purposeful communication. I’m especially interested in sports communication and creative strategy, and I love connecting with people and telling meaningful stories. As I continue at Syracuse University, I’m focused on growing creatively, building strong relationships, and finding opportunities to apply my skills in real-world settings.
